Rob and I were married 4 years ago on September 24th 2004 in the Seattle Temple. It was a perfect day. In Seattle it rains quite a bit so I prayed and prayed that it wouldn't rain on our wedding day. My prayers were answered because I woke up that morning to go get my hair done and it was perfect outside. I remember my mom was freaking out because she was so excited that it was actually sunny. It stayed sunny all day too. Not only was this good for taking pictures outside of the temple but part of our reception was outside as well. Everything seemed to go so smoothly. I remember seeing Rob for the first time that day and feeling that everything was right. Don't get me wrong, I still had a billion butterflies in my tummy. I think that had more to do with knowing everyone would be staring at me in the sealing room then actually getting married. Just before we walked into the sealing room we sat in this small waiting room, just the two of us, for a few minutes. That was pretty funny! We just looked at each other like "So, we're about to get married forever. Crazy, huh?" I can't say that I remember a thing that the sealer said to us but I do remember the words that were spoken at the ceremony were very quick but powerful and perfect. And then we were married. Our reception was in North bend just above rattle snake lake. In was an indoor and outdoor reception. We had a band and dancing (something I never thought I would have). It was so beautiful. I felt like such a princess. We left the reception right at 8pm. Rob didn't want to waste time saying bye to everyone...wink, wink! My dad put us in the Hilton hotel right next the airport because we had an early flight the next morning to Disney World. He even had chocolate strawberries and sparkling cider in the room when we arrived. It was quite romantic. Our wedding day was wonderful and perfect and I can't think of anything that went wrong.
We woke up the next morning and had a nice breakfast in the Hilton hotel and made our way to the airport. Then something finally went wrong. All the flights to Florida were canceled because of hurricanes for the next 3 days. Not all was lost though. Just when my parents thought we were off and they could relax and sleep in...we gave them a call trying to figure out what we were supposed to do now that our flights were canceled. They fixed everything up for us. They were able to switch our flight, hotel, and Disney tickets to California. A few hours later we were off on our honeymoon to Disneyland. And so we started our life together in Disneyland. What a perfect start to Happily Ever After...
