Once again summer has left us just as fast as it came. I hope yours was filled with just as much fun as ours. Here’s a little re-cap of our summer happenings.
- My little brother (Robby) entered the MTC to serve his mission
- We moved to Highlands Ranch, CO (I still miss being close to family)
- We went on an over night camping trip. (1st time in a tent with James…needless to say we didn’t get much sleep)
- We celebrated the 4th of July with my cousin’s fam
- James celebrated his 2nd birthday with a BBQ with G & G Milligan, Brian and the Hardie family. (It was the first time James realized what presents were)
- We went on many a hike
- Can’t forget Oceanside, CA. Rob couldn’t make it but we managed to have a little fun without him. (Don’t worry, he had a friend fly out from UT and they went on an overnight camping/fishing trip. Besides the speeding ticket Rob managed to get I think they had fun)
- Robby made it safely to Russia
- We met up with my parents in Rocky Mountain National Park over Labor day weekend (Why is camping food so delicious?)
- We all flew to Seattle for Rob’s sister’s wedding (Every time we go it is sunny. We must bring the sunshine.)
- My parents flew James and I to UT (Rob was already flying in for work)(James is beginning to think that flying is as normal as driving.)
- We celebrated our 5th anniversary. Can you believe it! (Thanks G & G for watching James so we could enjoy dinner ALONE at Texas Roadhouse (YUM!) It’s amazing how much faster you can eat a meal without a 2 year old and have a conversation.)
As you can see we had a very full Summer. I didn’t even mention all of the exploring we have begun to do around our new home. Another great summer has come and gone. It is now time to welcome Autumn with open arms. Is there anything more beautiful then when the leaves begin to change colors? I love this time of year.

I also can't believe you've been married for 5 years!!! SO weird... you're becoming a bunch of ol' married fogies... :) We need to chat and catch up soon, miss hearing about all the happenings. Love you! Can you post pics of your belly? :)
